Contribution

Located in Columbus, Ohio, BalletMet is a premier dance academy and professional ballet company that helps shape the cultural fabric of the Midwest. To unify its physical presence, the institution undertook a major revitalization project, connecting two existing industrial warehouse and back-of-house structures with a striking modern metal-and-glass facade. This architectural bridge brought the separate operational wings together under a cohesive identity while modernizing the primary arrival sequences and entry points on both sides. The transformation turned a utilitarian industrial site into an artistic, welcoming gateway.

As part of the exterior identity and environmental graphics study, I developed conceptual renderings and exterior graphic strategies to explore how an elite arts organization’s visual presence could extend across the building and its approach. My work focused on architectural coordination, contextual facade views, and arrival graphics. Pairing large-scale vertical artistic banners and branded wall murals with the new architectural bridge and transparent entryways, I helped create a vibrant, human-scale connection among the streetscape, landscape, and the creative energy within the studios.
